Let’s help the Inclusive Mainstream Fund do more for every learner

Turn inclusive funding into inclusive learning

The Inclusive Mainstream Fund is the government’s way of supporting a more inclusive education system. Over the next three years, more than £400 million each year will go to schools, colleges, and early years settings.

The goal is to make every learning environment welcoming and accessible for everyone. It’s also a great opportunity to think about how we support learners every day.

There aren’t any strict rules about who gets support. Each school or setting can decide how to use its funding by considering what its learners need and what truly helps remove barriers to learning.

The challenge

Learners with dyslexia, reading difficulties, or other literacy barriers regularly need an adult to help them access text.

That’s not always easy to keep up with, and it can knock their confidence; plus, it doesn’t always help with exams or working on their own.

The solution: the C-Pen range

With C-Pen’s portable reading and exam support tools, learners can scan a line of text and have it read aloud. That means they can work on their own, using the same materials as everyone else.
